Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger has revealed Peter Cech is set to miss around four weeks with a calf injury.
Cech pulled up in the closing stages of the shock defeat by Swansea.
And the Arsenal manager says the shot-stopper will not return until the end of the month at the earliest, meaning he will miss Saturday's crucial north London Derby.
'Cech will be out for three or four weeks,' Wenger said at his pre-match press conference on Friday, revealing that Cech had been suffering with a separate groin injury during the game.
'He had a groin alert, he could not kick the ball properly because of his groin.
Cech injured himself while running back into his own half after attacking a corner in the last minute of the defeat by Swansea.
Cech's injury deals a heavy blow to Arsenal's Premier League title hope.
