Want  Heavy K to produce your beat? Here’s how much he’ll charge.

Heavy K is one of the most respected musicians in the South African industry. The house DJ and producer has added his own flavour to one of South Africa’s most influential music genres and as music lovers, we are grateful to him for having kept us dancing for years. So what would happen if, say, you had a great idea for a house track and you wanted Heavy K to produce it for you? Let’s just say it would cost you. Speaking to Tbo Touch on Metro FM recently, Heavy K revealed that he charges R50 000 a beat.

That’s quite a lot of money! Heavy K also revealed that he doesn’t believe in family discounts, claiming that work is work.

However, when you consider that R50 000 will buy you a beat from the man who has produced for the likes of Oskido, Donald, Dr Malinga, Bucie and several other house artists, then you realise that it’s probably not a bad price.

Plus, it’s not as crazy as the R80 000 that Anatii charged AKA, right?
