Mother and baby pulled from sinking car by four brave strangers who jumped in to save them

This distressing footage shows the moment a mother and baby were drowning in their car after it plunged into a canal.

As the car sank deeper four men bravely through themselves into the freezing water in a bid to save them.

The men did not know each other, but their teamwork undoubtedly saved theyoung family from certain death.
